Terms of Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Setspce ("we", "us"). They apply to anyone using setspce.com, our apps, or any related service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Setspce is a marketplace platform. We are not the host, owner, insurer, or operator of listed spaces. Bookings are contracts directly between hosts and creators.

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must provide accurate registration information
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential
• One account per person — no shared accounts
• We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law

A booking becomes binding when the host accepts and payment is successfully captured. Until then, requests can be withdrawn or declined without charge.

Creators are responsible for using the space in line with the host's rules and our Responsible Use policy. Hosts are responsible for providing the space as described.

• Setspce charges a service fee to creators and a host fee, both shown before checkout
• An optional protection fee may apply per booking
• Payments are processed by Stripe; Setspce never stores full card details
• Payouts to hosts are released after the booking ends, minus applicable fees
• All prices include VAT where applicable; invoices are issued automatically

• Creator cancellation more than 48 h before start: full refund minus service fee
• Creator cancellation within 48 h of start: no refund unless the host agrees
• Host cancellation: full refund to creator and possible penalty for the host
• Force majeure (illness, natural disaster, government order): case-by-case mediation

The Responsible Use & Liability terms apply in full to all bookings. Damage reports must be filed within 48 hours of booking end. Setspce mediates but is not a party to the underlying contract between host and creator.

Reviews are double-blind: both parties have 14 days after booking end to submit. They become visible only when both sides post, or when the window closes. Reviews must be honest and based on direct experience.

• Listing spaces you do not own or are not authorised to rent
• Using the platform for illegal activity
• Scraping, reverse-engineering, or copying the platform
• Circumventing the booking system to avoid fees
• Discrimination on protected grounds
• Harassment of other users

The Setspce name, logo, and platform code are our property. Listing photos and descriptions remain owned by hosts, who grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display them on the platform for as long as the listing is active.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Setspce's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or rights that cannot be excluded under EU consumer law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, fraud, or risk to other users.

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

We may amend these Terms. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by email or platform notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
