By requesting, confirming, or participating in a booking through Setspce, all users agree to the following Responsible Use & Liability Terms.

Section 01

Platform Role

Setspce is a marketplace platform that connects hosts offering creative production spaces with creators seeking temporary access to those spaces.

Setspce is not the owner, operator, insurer, or direct provider of listed spaces or equipment unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Section 02

User Responsibility

Creators renting a space through Setspce agree to:

  • Use the space respectfully and professionally
  • Follow all host rules and instructions
  • Leave the space in substantially the same condition as received
  • Use equipment only for its intended purpose
  • Comply with local laws and safety regulations

The booking creator is responsible for the behavior and actions of all guests, collaborators, crew members, or third parties brought into the booked space.

Section 03

Damage, Theft & Loss Liability

Creators are financially responsible for:

  • Property damage
  • Stolen items
  • Missing equipment
  • Excessive cleaning
  • Misuse of equipment
  • Damage caused by guests or collaborators attending the booking

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cameras
  • Speakers
  • DJ equipment
  • Monitors
  • Microphones
  • Lighting equipment
  • Furniture
  • Interior damage

If damage, theft, or loss occurs during a booking period, the responsible creator may be charged for repair, replacement, restoration, cleaning, or associated costs.

Section 04

Damage Reporting Procedure

Hosts must report damages within 48 hours after the booking ends.

Damage reports should include:

  • Photos or video evidence
  • Written description
  • Estimated repair or replacement costs
  • Invoices or supporting documentation where possible

Setspce reserves the right to review and mediate disputes between creators and hosts.

Section 05

Security Deposits & Payment Authorization

Certain bookings may require a refundable security deposit or payment authorization hold.

By completing a booking request, creators authorize Setspce to:

  • Process approved charges related to verified damages or losses
  • Temporarily hold security deposits where applicable

No damage-related charges will be processed without review.

Section 06

Host Responsibility

Hosts agree to:

  • Provide accurate listing information
  • Disclose equipment conditions honestly
  • Maintain a reasonably safe environment
  • Provide clear usage instructions where necessary

Hosts may not submit false or misleading damage claims.

Section 07

Limitation of Liability

Setspce is not liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Personal injury
  • Business interruption
  • Lost income
  • Equipment malfunction
  • Disputes between users
  • Theft or damage occurring outside the booking period

Setspce functions solely as a booking and marketplace platform.

Section 08

Insurance Disclaimer

Unless explicitly stated, bookings made through Setspce are not automatically covered by a commercial insurance policy provided by Setspce.

Users are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage where appropriate.

Booking Protection & Trust

Setspce may implement:

  • Identity verification
  • Review systems
  • Booking history
  • Reputation badges
  • Moderation systems
  • Booking protection procedures

to help improve trust and safety across the platform.

Section 10

Acceptance of Terms

By using Setspce, submitting a booking request, or hosting a listing, users confirm that they:

  • Understand these terms
  • Accept financial responsibility where applicable
  • Agree to cooperate in dispute resolution procedures
