What a DJ room needs
Not every space with speakers works for a DJ session.
- A proper booth: players or turntables, mixer and booth monitors.
- A sound system that stays clean at volume, and a room that can take it.
- Space and a background that looks good on camera for set videos.
- Lighting or a clean wall if you are filming content.
How booking by the hour works
Setspce is a marketplace: independent hosts list their space, you book the hours you need. There is no membership and no minimum commitment beyond the host's own minimum booking length.
- Pick your date and the hours you need — most spaces start at one or two hours.
- Send a request; the host approves or declines it. Nothing is charged until it is accepted.
- Pay securely in the platform. The address and access instructions unlock once your booking is confirmed.
- Add-on services (engineer, lighting kit, extra gear) can be added by the host and are priced per booking.
What does it cost?
Hosts set their own hourly rate, so prices differ per space, size and equipment. The price you see on a listing is the price you pay per hour: it already includes the Setspce service fee. Individuals see prices including 21% Dutch VAT; business accounts see net prices and VAT is added at checkout so it can be reclaimed. Longer bookings can carry a host-set discount, and a €1.50 booking protection fee applies per booking.

Can I film or stream my set?
Many DJ spaces are used exactly for that. Check the listing features and the host's house rules, and ask about lighting if you are recording video.
Is the gear included in the hourly price?
Anything listed under the space's features is part of the booking. Extra gear may be offered by the host as a paid add-on.
