Photo studio rental in Amsterdam

Book a photography studio in Amsterdam for the hours your shoot actually takes — a portrait session, a lookbook day or a full production. Listings show what gear is in the room before you request.

What to look for in a photo studio

Filter on the details that decide whether a shoot works in a room.

  • Seamless backdrops and cyclorama walls for clean product and fashion work.
  • Strobes, modifiers and continuous lighting, or bring your own kit.
  • Blackout curtains when you need full control over the light.
  • Ceiling height and floor area for wide lenses and full-length shots.
  • A changing area, styling table and wifi for client-facing days.

How booking by the hour works

Setspce is a marketplace: independent hosts list their space, you book the hours you need. There is no membership and no minimum commitment beyond the host's own minimum booking length.

  • Pick your date and the hours you need — most spaces start at one or two hours.
  • Send a request; the host approves or declines it. Nothing is charged until it is accepted.
  • Pay securely in the platform. The address and access instructions unlock once your booking is confirmed.
  • Add-on services (engineer, lighting kit, extra gear) can be added by the host and are priced per booking.

What does it cost?

Hosts set their own hourly rate, so prices differ per space, size and equipment. The price you see on a listing is the price you pay per hour: it already includes the Setspce service fee. Individuals see prices including 21% Dutch VAT; business accounts see net prices and VAT is added at checkout so it can be reclaimed. Longer bookings can carry a host-set discount, and a €1.50 booking protection fee applies per booking.

Frequently asked

Is lighting equipment included?

It depends on the listing. Each space lists its features, including lighting equipment, backdrops and blackout curtains, and hosts can offer extra gear as a paid add-on.

Can I book a photo studio for a half day?

Yes. You choose the hours; longer blocks are common and some hosts apply a discount for longer bookings.

Can I shoot commercial content?

Most hosts allow commercial shoots. House rules per space state what is and is not allowed, and you can message the host before booking.
